Stord, an Atlanta-based digital warehousing and distribution network, acquired transportation partner Cove Logistics to add freight capabilities and broaden its end-to-end supply chain offering. The deal brings roughly 15 Cove employees into Stord and integrates full truckload, LTL, intermodal and other freight services into Stord’s distribution network and software platform to better serve enterprise and retail customers.

Cleveland-Cliffs Acquires Stelco Holdings Inc.

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. has completed its acquisition of Stelco Holdings Inc. for C$70.00 per share (C$60 cash and 0.454 Cliffs shares), implying an enterprise value of approximately C$3.4 billion. The deal brings Stelco's integrated flat-rolled steel operations in Hamilton and Nanticoke, Ontario into Cliffs' portfolio, expanding its Canadian footprint, adding roughly 1,800 union employees, and creating estimated annual synergies and capability expansion in flat-rolled steel production.

Canada Cartage Acquires The GTI Group to Enter U.S. Market

Canada Cartage Corporation has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire The GTI Group, a Montreal-based logistics provider offering brokerage, freight management, forwarding, drayage, intermodal, warehousing and specialized heavy/oversize trucking. The deal expands Canada Cartage’s service capabilities and marks its first entry into the U.S. market, with GTI’s U.S. offices in Houston, Des Moines and Franklin, Tennessee; the combined company is expected to generate over C$1 billion in annual revenue.

Kenco Acquires Drexel Industries' 3PL Business
