J.D. Power has completed the acquisition of ZappyRide, an EV-focused data and software company, and will integrate it into its Autodata Solutions division as part of a new E-Vision initiative. ZappyRide's white-label software, APIs and EV program planning tools will expand J.D. Power's EV data, analytics and consumer intelligence capabilities for OEMs, utilities, fleets and government stakeholders.

AEA-Bridges Impact Corp (ABIC) completed a business combination with LiveWire EV, the electric motorcycle division of Harley‑Davidson, creating publicly listed LiveWire Group, Inc. The transaction raised about $334 million in gross proceeds and LiveWire began trading on the NYSE under the ticker LVWR; Harley‑Davidson carved out the EV division as part of the deal.

Yamaha Motor Acquires Brose's e-Kit Bicycle Drive Unit Business Subsidiary

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has signed an agreement to acquire Brose's bicycle drive unit (e-Kit) business subsidiary, with completion subject to regulatory clearances and expected by June 2025. Yamaha will operate the acquired business through a newly established German entity, Yamaha Motor eBike Systems (YMESG), to build a European development base, expand market presence and strengthen after-sales service using Brose's network.
