Voices, the global voice-over marketplace, has acquired Voices.ai and plans to launch a next-generation developer platform for voice applications that will include APIs, libraries, documentation and cloud infrastructure. The acquisition supports Voices’ push into AI-generated voices and developer-focused tools to serve use cases such as voice assistants, eLearning and real-time synthetic voice applications.

LifeSpeak to Acquire Wellbeats for up to US$92.5 Million

LifeSpeak signed a definitive agreement to acquire U.S.-based Wellbeats, a Minnesota-based SaaS platform for on-demand physical wellbeing delivered to enterprise clients, for up to US$92.5 million. The transaction included an upfront cash payment of US$80 million and an earnout of US$12.5 million tied to predetermined 2022 milestones, and it was expected to close in March 2022. LifeSpeak later announced it completed the acquisition.

The deal — funded with US$17.25 million in cash plus LifeSpeak shares and potential additional milestone shares — expands LifeSpeak's digital caregiver capabilities and strengthens its presence in the United States while creating cross-sell opportunities across both companies' client bases.

The deal consideration was approximately $15.0 million (about $9.5 million cash and ~550,000 common shares), and LifeSpeak expects the acquisition to enable cross-sell opportunities and accelerate product capability and geographic growth.
