ESS Acquires HeyTutor to Expand K-12 Tutoring and Academic Intervention Services

ESS, backed by The Vistria Group, announced it is acquiring HeyTutor, a technology-enabled provider of in-person tutoring, paraprofessional management, and academic intervention services for K-12 school districts. The deal integrates HeyTutor’s data-driven tutoring platform into ESS’s K-12 workforce solutions portfolio to address learning gaps and workforce shortages nationwide.

IXL Learning Acquires U.K.-based MyTutor

IXL Learning has acquired U.K.-based one-on-one tutoring provider MyTutor; terms were not disclosed. The deal is IXL's first acquisition of a company headquartered outside the United States and expands its tutoring capabilities and European presence, adding MyTutor's network used by hundreds of thousands of families and a large portion of U.K. secondary schools.

GoGuardian Acquires TutorMe

Litera Acquires Kira Systems

Litera has agreed to acquire Kira Systems, a Toronto-based leader in machine learning contract analysis, to strengthen its Transaction Management platform and expand due diligence workflows. As part of the deal, Kira majority investor Insight Partners will become a minority investor in Litera while Hg remains Litera's majority investor; Kira's AI research team will spin out as a new company, Zuva.

IXL Learning Acquires Wyzant Tutoring Marketplace

IAC Acquires Tutor.com
