Marquee Brands and JM&A to Acquire Roots Corporation

Marquee Brands and its Canadian operating partner, JM&A Design and Development Inc., agreed to take Roots Corporation private in an all-cash transaction valued at C$4.10 per share. The deal remains subject to shareholder, regulatory and court approvals, with closing expected in the fourth quarter of 2026; JM&A will lead Roots’ Canadian and U.S. operations while Marquee focuses on global brand expansion.
