Marsh McLennan Agency Acquires Arthur Hall Insurance

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), a business of Marsh, has acquired Arthur Hall Insurance, a full-service insurance agency based in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Marsh McLennan to Acquire McGriff Insurance Services in $7.75 Billion Deal

Marsh McLennan announced it has reached an agreement to acquire McGriff Insurance Services, an affiliate of TIH, through its Marsh McLennan Agency business. The all-cash deal values McGriff at $7.75 billion and is expected to close by year-end, subject to regulatory approvals. Marsh McLennan later completed the acquisition, with McGriff’s 3,500+ employees joining Marsh McLennan Agency.

Marsh McLennan Agency Acquires The Horton Group, Inc.

Horton’s approximately nine offices and employees (including CEO Dan Horton) will join Marsh McLennan Agency and continue operating locally; the deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2024 and terms were not disclosed.

Marsh McLennan Agency Acquires Clark Insurance (including Haberman Insurance)

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), a subsidiary of Marsh, has acquired Clark Insurance, a full-service independent insurance agency headquartered in Portland, Maine; the transaction also includes Haberman Insurance, which Clark acquired in 2021. The deal brings all 135 Clark employees (plus Haberman staff) into MMA and expands MMA's presence across New England with Clark's offices in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
