Turpaz Industries Acquires Schumann & Sohn GmbH

Turpaz Industries Ltd. acquired 100% of German flavor company Schumann & Sohn GmbH for approximately €10.7 million, with the transaction completed on November 7, 2024 and financed through bank credit. The acquisition expands Turpaz's presence in sweet flavors in Western Europe, adds a Karlsruhe production and development site with 21 employees and ~€9 million in 2023 sales, and is expected to generate cross-selling and product-portfolio synergies.

Mueller Industries Acquires Nehring Electrical Works Company

Mueller Industries, Inc. (NYSE: MLI) agreed to acquire Nehring Electrical Works Company and certain affiliates for approximately $575 million plus a $25 million earn-out, and has completed the transaction. Nehring, headquartered in DeKalb, Illinois, manufactures wire and cable solutions for utilities, telecommunications, electrical distribution and OEM customers; Mueller said the deal expands its presence in electrical and power infrastructure and is expected to be accretive to 2024 results.

Muhr und Bender (Mubea) Acquires Cyclone Manufacturing Inc.

Muhr und Bender KG (Mubea) has signed an agreement to acquire Canadian aerospace parts manufacturer Cyclone Manufacturing Inc. from Andrew Sochaj and his family. Cyclone — with roughly 700 employees across Canada and Poland and approx. CAD 120 million in sales (FY22/23) — will be integrated into Mubea's Aviation Division to expand Mubea's production capabilities in larger components and assemblies and broaden its aerospace customer base.

Sur-Seal Acquires Mueller

Sur-Seal, a Heartwood Partners–backed engineered sealing solutions company headquartered in Cincinnati, acquired Mueller, a North Carolina-based provider of custom die cutting, slitting, laminating and CNC cutting operating out of a 141,000 sq. ft. facility. The acquisition expands Sur-Seal's engineering, converting and manufacturing capabilities and adds end-market exposure in HVAC, aerospace, medical, renewable energy and electronics while preserving Mueller's employee-centric culture under the Stober family ownership transition.

Spectrum Brands Completes Acquisition of Tristar Products' Kitchen Appliances and Cookware Business

Spectrum Brands Holdings, Inc. completed its previously announced acquisition of the kitchen appliances and cookware categories of Tristar Products, Inc. for $325 million in cash, with additional contingent payments up to $125 million based on gross profit targets in 2022 and 2023. The deal adds brands such as PowerXL, Emeril Lagasse and Copper Chef and is being combined into Spectrum Brands’ Home and Personal Care (HPC) segment.

SPUR Acquisitions has acquired Piranha Brands, a leading U.S. supplier of medical apparel and operator of multiple scrubs-focused e-commerce brands, from Piranha's founders/co-owners. The transaction was advised by The Forbes M+A Group; SPUR said the acquisition will support new leadership and future growth under Rob Mossman.
