Hillcore Group Acquires Whitewater Management Ltd. and Catalyst Production Systems

Hillcore Group has completed the acquisition of Calgary-based Whitewater Management Ltd. and its majority-owned subsidiary Catalyst Production Systems. Whitewater is a fluid management and environmental remediation services provider with five locations and over 200 employees; Hillcore is a Canadian investment firm that will operate the business within its portfolio.

Integrated Water Services and Sciens Water Acquire Hyperion International Technologies

Integrated Water Services, in partnership with Sciens Water Opportunities Management (an affiliate of Sciens Capital), acquired 100% of Hyperion International Technologies, a control-systems and engineering services provider for water and wastewater markets. The deal expands IWS’s product and digital services capabilities in modular MBR and wastewater reuse technologies; Hyperion’s General Manager Scott Johnson will lead the business as Al Ouchie transitions to retirement.

The Amlon Group (Heartwood-Backed) Acquires EcoWater Industries (EcoWerks)

The Amlon Group, a Heartwood Partners-backed environmental services platform, has acquired EcoWater Industries (dba EcoWerks), an industrial waste-to-value processor based in Port Arthur, Texas. The acquisition expands Amlon's processing capabilities, permits and capacity—adding wastewater treatment, equipment cleanout, oil recovery services and a permitted non-hazardous TSDF to its footprint.

H2O Innovation Acquires NextEra Distributed Water

H2O Innovation Inc. has acquired NextEra Distributed Water in a carve-out transaction, integrating the business into a new Water Infrastructure & Development business line to operate NextEra’s WaterHub assets. The acquisition brings in-house large-scale asset development and ownership capabilities — enabling H2O Innovation to offer turn-key onsite wastewater treatment and reuse projects delivered at no upfront capital cost and operated under long-term contracts; the deal is supported by follow-on investment from funds managed by Ember Infrastructure Management LP and existing minority owners.

Lincolnshire Management Acquires Whitewater Brands

Lincolnshire Management, a New York-based private equity firm, has acquired Whitewater Brands, an omnichannel marketer and supplier of consumables and light equipment to automotive collision shops, mechanical repair shops, and dealerships. The sellers were Rock Gate Partners and Peninsula Capital Partners; financial terms were not disclosed. Lincolnshire intends to grow the business organically and via M&A, leveraging Whitewater's multi-brand catalog, e-commerce channels, and distribution footprint.

ClearWater Solutions Acquires Midwest Water Operations

Keystone Capital Management’s portfolio company ClearWater Solutions (CWS) has acquired Midwest Water Operations (MWO), a Missouri-based provider of outsourced operations and maintenance services for water and wastewater facilities. The deal (terms undisclosed) expands CWS’s geographic footprint and service capabilities across municipal and private utility clients; the combined business now serves 12 states with approximately 400 employees.
