Apptio Acquires Targetprocess

Apptio completed the acquisition of Targetprocess to add enterprise Agile planning and project portfolio management (PPM) capabilities to its technology business management (TBM) platform. The deal will integrate Targetprocess into Apptio’s product suite (rebranded Apptio Targetprocess) to help customers align portfolio, product management, and software delivery with financial governance and business value tracking.

Planview has acquired Tasktop, a Vancouver-based leader in Value Stream Management, bringing Tasktop's team and technology into Planview to expand its Strategic Portfolio Management and enterprise agile planning capabilities. Tasktop's investors (including Sumeru Equity Partners, Elsewhere Partners and Yaletown Partners) and management rolled part of their equity and will retain a minority stake alongside Planview's majority shareholders TPG and TA Associates; terms were not disclosed.
