The Toro Company Acquires Venture Products (Ventrac)

The Toro Company has agreed to acquire Venture Products, Inc., the manufacturer of Ventrac-branded turf, landscape and snow-management equipment, for $167.5 million in cash. The deal, expected to close before the end of Toro's fiscal 2020 second quarter, expands Toro's professional product offering and is expected to be financed under Toro's existing revolving credit facility; Ventrac reported approximately $100 million in net sales for calendar year 2019.

Daimler Trucks Acquires Majority Stake in Torc Robotics

Daimler Trucks (via Daimler Trucks and Buses Holding Inc., a subsidiary of Daimler AG) agreed to acquire a majority stake in Torc Robotics to accelerate commercialization of SAE Level 4 automated trucks. Torc will remain a separate entity in Blacksburg, Virginia, continue developing its Asimov self-driving software and work closely with Daimler's R&D teams in Portland and globally.

The Toro Company Acquires The Charles Machine Works

The Toro Company completed its acquisition of privately held The Charles Machine Works, the parent company of Ditch Witch and other underground-construction brands. The deal was valued at approximately $700 million, financed with new debt and borrowings under Toro's credit facility; Toro expects about $30 million of synergies over three years and that the transaction is immediately accretive to EPS (excluding certain adjustments).

RMH Systems Acquires Complete Solution Robotics

RMH Systems has acquired Complete Solution Robotics (CSR), a Loveland, Colorado-based robotics and automation solutions provider, marking RMH's first add-on since partnering with private equity firm Rotunda Capital Partners. CSR founder Mike W. Olson will remain to lead RMH's robotics division; the deal expands RMH's engineering capabilities and regional footprint across the Mountain West while integrating RMH's material handling and packaging offerings into CSR's customer base.

Kubota North America Corporation Acquires Bloomfield Robotics, Inc.

Kubota North America Corporation, a subsidiary of Kubota Corporation, has acquired Bloomfield Robotics, a Pittsburgh-based agritech company that uses advanced imaging and AI to monitor plant-level health for specialty crops. The acquisition adds Bloomfield's camera hardware and SaaS analytics capabilities to Kubota's smart agriculture strategy, accelerating its offering for specialty crop growers (grapes, blueberries, tree nuts) and enabling tighter integration with farm equipment.

STIHL (STIHL Digital) Acquires 23.8% Stake in TinyMobileRobots

German industrial group STIHL, via its corporate venture arm STIHL Digital, has acquired a 23.8% minority stake in Danish robotics maker TinyMobileRobots, buying out a state-funded investment managed by Borean Innovation. The investment is intended to accelerate TinyMobileRobots' international growth and leverage STIHL's global dealer network to expand distribution across sports, construction and agriculture end markets.
