Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has acquired Brium, a small team of compiler and AI software experts, to accelerate its open AI software stack and improve model execution and inference optimization for AMD Instinct GPUs. The deal brings domain-specific compiler and model-execution expertise to AMD to expand performance, reduce developer hardware dependencies, and broaden AMD’s reach into industries such as healthcare, life sciences, finance and manufacturing.
