Wave Broadband, a division of Astound Broadband, has acquired Digital West Holdings, Inc., a San Luis Obispo-based provider of fiber optic connectivity, colocation, cloud and telephony services for business customers on California's Central Coast. Digital West's leadership will remain in place as the business operates within Wave Business Solutions to expand service offerings and accelerate network growth in the region.

Stonepeak Acquires Boundary Street Capital

Stonepeak has agreed to acquire Boundary Street Capital, a specialist private credit investment manager focused on digital infrastructure, enterprise infrastructure software, and technology services for the lower middle market. The deal expands Stonepeak Credit's private credit capabilities and strengthens its digital infrastructure and technology services investing platform; terms were not disclosed and the transaction closed in January 2025.

Astound Broadband Powered by Wave Acquires FastMesh Internet

The deal brings FastMesh's MDU-focused wireless access capability and customers into Astound's footprint and transitions FastMesh employees into Astound roles to accelerate deployment of managed Wi‑Fi across Astound markets.

Bain Capital Credit Acquires Majority Stake in Surf Broadband Solutions

Bain Capital Credit will acquire a majority stake in Surf Broadband Solutions and commit significant growth capital to accelerate the company’s fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) network expansion across the Great Lakes region. Post Road Group will remain an investor alongside Bain; the company will continue to be led by its current management team and the deal is expected to close in Q3 2021 subject to customary approvals.

GI Partners Acquires Vast Broadband

GI Partners, in partnership with industry veteran Rich Fish, has signed an agreement to acquire Vast Broadband, a Sioux Falls-based provider of gigabit broadband, video and phone services. Vast, currently owned by Pamlico Capital and Oak Hill Capital and serving over 60,000 residential and business customers across South Dakota and Minnesota, will be led by Rich Fish as incoming CEO with GI Partners investing from its Data Infrastructure Fund; the transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.

Visionary Broadband Acquires Mountain Broadband
