Evolution Strategy Partners (reported elsewhere as Altos Partners), Gemini Investors, and senior members of Westco's management recapitalized Westco Grounds Maintenance Inc., a Houston-based commercial landscaping installation and maintenance provider. The transaction establishes Westco as a platform for a buy-and-build growth strategy in the greater Houston market; Manny González was named CEO and Cadence Bank provided credit facilities. Separately, Gemini portfolio company Westco Grounds Maintenance acquired Champions Hydro-Lawn, an erosion-control and commercial turf specialist in the greater Houston market, as an add-on to expand Westco's commercial landscaping platform.
