Gemspring Capital Management announced that an affiliate acquired and combined FORM with the image recognition business of Trax (Trax IR), creating a global retail execution and data intelligence software platform for the consumer packaged goods (CPG) ecosystem. The combined platform integrates FORM’s frontline task/workflow execution and shelf intelligence with Trax’s AI-powered computer vision for SKU-level, shelf-level insights, aiming to drive improved compliance, reduced out-of-stocks, and faster decision-making at scale.

Ares Management and Partners Acquire Majority Stake in Form Technologies

Ares Management funds have acquired a majority of Form Technologies' common equity as part of a financing package that injected approximately $304 million of new equity to deleverage the company and support strategic growth. The capital—$154 million of common equity from Ares, the D. E. Shaw group and Onex Credit, plus $150 million of preferred equity from the D. E. Shaw group and Ripple Industries—will fund investments in operational capabilities and commercial expansion across Form Technologies' global manufacturing footprint.
