Management, led by CEO John Devine, remains meaningful owners and will continue to lead operations while the capital will be used to support organic growth, invest in equipment and capabilities, and pursue strategic acquisitions.

Owner Resource Group (ORG), an Austin-based private investment firm, has completed a partnership recapitalization with Bear Paper Tube, LLC, a specialty manufacturer of industrial paper tubes and cores headquartered in Dalton, Georgia. ORG will partner with co-founders Michael Wise and Brian Clark and the existing management team to support geographic and end-market expansion and further investment in manufacturing capabilities, while the co-founders retain significant ownership and continue to lead the business.

The Yokohama Rubber Company to Acquire Goodyear’s Off-the-Road (OTR) Tire Business

Goodyear Tire & Rubber has signed a definitive agreement to sell its Off-the-Road (OTR) tire business to The Yokohama Rubber Company for $905 million in cash. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions and is expected to close by early 2025, with Goodyear retaining OTR tire supply for U.S. military and defense applications via a product supply arrangement.

OTR International Acquires Hoosier Wheel

OTR International, a market-leading supplier of off-the-road tires and wheels, has acquired Hoosier Wheel, a manufacturer of pneumatic and semi-pneumatic wheel assemblies based in Evansville, Indiana. The acquisition, closed October 1, expands OTR's U.S. manufacturing footprint and product portfolio for OEM and aftermarket customers and is supported by OTR's majority owner, Owner Resource Group.

CIVC Partners Invests in OTR Transportation

Chicago-based private equity firm CIVC Partners has made a growth investment in OTR Transportation, a Chicago-headquartered technology-enabled freight broker, in partnership with founder and CEO Jon Braun. The deal leaves the OTR management team in place (Braun retaining a significant stake) and will support accelerated organic growth and pursuit of strategic acquisitions; Dan Para is participating as a co-investor and will join OTR's board.
