WPP Acquires Cloud Commerce Group

WPP has acquired Cloud Commerce Group (CCG), a UK-based multi-channel ecommerce software provider that helps brands market, sell and fulfil across marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Wayfair. CCG — which employs over 100 people across Europe and powers over £1 billion in annual GMV — will join the Wunderman Thompson Commerce network to strengthen WPP’s commerce and technology capabilities.

WPP, through its Hill+Knowlton Strategies network, has acquired JeffreyGroup, a leading independent corporate communications, public affairs and marketing consultancy focused on Latin America. The deal brings JeffreyGroup's ~330 employees and offices across Latin America into Hill+Knowlton, doubling H+K's footprint in the region and creating the largest global communications agency presence in Latin America.

The deal gives DCG ONE an East Coast operating footprint and expands its high-volume direct mail, data and fulfillment capabilities to better serve national clients.

Acosta Acquires Impact Group from CI Capital Partners

Acosta signed a definitive agreement to acquire Impact Group, a national sales and marketing agency serving natural, specialty, ethnic and emerging consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. The sale by CI Capital Partners follows a period of buy-and-build growth during which Impact Group completed 12 add-on acquisitions; CI Capital will retain Impact's Cluep digital advertising business unit. The transaction was announced June 24, 2021 and expected to close in July 2021, pending customary approvals.
