News Corp has completed the acquisition of the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) and related assets from S&P Global / IHS Markit for $1.15 billion in cash. OPIS, a data and analytics provider focused on oil, natural gas liquids, biofuels and renewables, will join Dow Jones' professional information business and expand News Corp's energy and commodities information offerings.

Dow Jones has acquired Eco-Movement, a Utrecht-based platform that provides global EV charging station location, pricing and availability data. Eco-Movement will operate within OPIS to bolster Dow Jones Energy's data and analytics offerings, adding nearly 2 million connectors across more than 80 countries to support retailers, fleets, charge point operators, utilities and financial institutions.

Axiologic Solutions Acquires Data Intelligence Technologies

Scholastic Acquires Learning Ovations (A2i)

The acquisition adds A2i’s ESSA Tier 1–rated technology and team to Scholastic Education Solutions; financial terms were not disclosed.

iCapital Network Acquires AI Insight

iCapital Network has agreed to acquire the assets of AI Insight, Inc., an education and compliance platform that provides fund-specific research, training and credentialing for financial advisors focused on alternative investments. As part of the transaction, AI Insight’s executives Sherri Cooke and Jennifer Simon and eight additional employees are expected to join iCapital to integrate AI Insight’s learning management system into iCapital’s advisor-facing alternative investment platform.

iA Financial Group Acquires Innovative Aftermarket Systems from Genstar Capital and Flexpoint Ford

iA Financial Group (iA Financial Corporation Inc.) has completed the acquisition of Innovative Aftermarket Systems (IAS), a U.S.-based provider of vehicle protection products, administration and underwriting, from Genstar Capital and minority holder Flexpoint Ford for US$720 million. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, IAS operates with more than 500 employees and a distribution network of over 4,300 dealer relationships; iA said the deal strengthens its U.S. warranty capabilities and positions the combined business for growth in a fragmented market.
