The acquisition expands Silver State’s California footprint — complementing its Los Angeles and Sacramento operations — and adds technicians, installers and office staff to bolster commercial preventative maintenance, repair, installation and 24/7 emergency capabilities.

The transaction establishes Silver State as a platform for a new buy-and-build initiative in commercial facility services, with Edgewater partnering with management to accelerate growth through add-on acquisitions.

Sound Partners and Calico Group have jointly acquired Tradewinds Mechanical, LLC, a Las Vegas–based commercial HVAC‑R services company, and have combined it with acquisitions of S&R Air Conditioning (Los Angeles) and Climate Specialists (Austin) to form The Mechanical Group. The investors plan to grow a Southwest HVAC‑R platform, retain existing operating teams (with Steven Brayet serving as President and Matt Shaw as COO), and continue expanding service offerings; financial terms were not disclosed.
