Prototek Acquires ProtoCAM to Expand Additive Manufacturing Capabilities

Prototek Holdings LLC completed the acquisition of ProtoCAM, an Allentown, Pennsylvania-based industrial 3D printing and rapid prototyping provider. ProtoCAM will be merged into Prototek’s Midwest Prototyping additive manufacturing division to expand capacity and add QuickCast and other 3D printing technologies to the platform; terms were not disclosed.

(Sac EDM & Waterjet), adding two Rancho Cordova, California facilities (26,000 sq. ft.) and expanded CNC, waterjet and EDM capabilities. The deal expands Prototek's digital manufacturing platform and West Coast footprint; Sac EDM's President Dan Folk will join Prototek as Vice President of Wire EDM and Waterjet Cutting.
