(E360S), a PE-backed environmental services operator based in Aurora, Ontario, has acquired Le Géant du Conteneur, a Châteauguay, Quebec–based provider of solid non-hazardous and construction waste management. The acquisition expands E360S's footprint into the Montreal market and adds material-recovery and construction-waste diversion capabilities that complement its existing Quebec operations.

GFL Environmental Inc. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the solid waste and environmental solutions business of Terrapure Environmental Ltd. and its subsidiaries for an aggregate purchase price of C$927.5 million (excluding Terrapure's battery recycling business). The acquired operations serve more than 7,000 customers across Canada, operate an integrated network of assets (including the Stoney Creek landfill), generated ~C$365 million of revenue in 2020 and employ approximately 1,600 people; GFL expects meaningful synergies and expanded regional capabilities.
