IK Investment Partners (IK IX Fund) has entered into an exclusivity agreement to acquire the majority stake in French vocational e-learning provider Skill & You from Andera Partners. Management (led by Eric Petco and Sonia Levy-Odier) will co-invest alongside IK to support accelerated international expansion, strengthen B2G/B2B capabilities and continue product and platform investment; Skill & You reported ~€115m revenue in 2020, ~120,000 students and ~850 employees.

Acendre Acquires ICS Learning Group

Acendre, a provider of secure cloud-based talent management software, has acquired ICS Learning Group, a Pasadena, Maryland-based provider of e-learning solutions and the Asentia LMS. The acquisition integrates ICS’s LMS and custom courseware capabilities into Acendre’s talent management platform to offer a unified, end-to-end SaaS solution for regulated industries.

Jacobs Holding Acquires ILERNA from Skill & You (IK Partners)

Jacobs Holding has agreed to acquire a majority stake in ILERNA, the leading Spanish online vocational education provider, from Skill & You (a portfolio company of IK Partners). The transaction is supported by a unitranche financing co-arranged by CVC Credit and CAPZA; ILERNA trains ~46,000 students, employs around 480 staff and will use the investment to expand its curriculum, technology and physical footprint across Spain.

IK Partners Invests in Pr0ph3cy Group to Back French Cybersecurity Leader

IK Partners' Development Capital team has agreed to acquire a significant minority stake in Pr0ph3cy Group, a newly formed French cybersecurity group created from the merger of consulting firm Silicom and e-learning SaaS platform Seela. The investment will support Pr0ph3cy's organic growth (including hiring >100 people), technology development (AI-enabled SOC and SIEM capabilities) and targeted acquisitions to expand its footprint in France, Europe and Canada while founder Arthur Bataille retains control.

Leeds Equity Partners Acquires Learnosity

Leeds Equity Partners has acquired Learnosity Holdings Ltd., a Dublin-based provider of digital assessment and AI-enabled authoring solutions for K-12, higher education, corporate L&D, government and certification markets. Terms were not disclosed; Leeds Equity said the acquisition will build on its education software expertise and support Learnosity's next stage of growth.

Sanoma Acquires itslearning from EQT Expansion Capital II

Sanoma has acquired itslearning AS, a Bergen-based provider of a cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS), from EQT Expansion Capital II. The acquisition strengthens Sanoma's digital learning capabilities and provides itslearning with a strategic owner to support further growth across Europe and internationally. The transaction closed on 5 December 2019; financial terms were not disclosed.
