Funds managed by Harvest Partners Ascend have acquired a majority stake in Sparq, a U.S.-based outsourced digital engineering provider headquartered in Atlanta. Bain Capital Double Impact remains an investor; the partnership will fund Sparq’s geographic expansion and capability build-out as Harvest Partners Ascend pursues a buy-and-build strategy.

Gemspring Capital Acquires Majority Interest in Amplix

Polaris Growth Fund Acquires Amplifire from Leeds Equity Partners

Polaris Growth Fund has acquired Amplifire (Knowledge Factor, Inc.) from Leeds Equity Partners; terms were not disclosed. Amplifire is a Boulder, Colorado–based SaaS provider of adaptive learning, assessment, and analytics serving healthcare, higher education, and corporate customers; several customers also participated in the investment and Amplifire’s existing management (CEO Bob Burgin) will remain in place.

Ridgemont Equity Partners Acquires Sparus Holdings

Ridgemont Equity Partners completed an acquisition of Sparus Holdings, a provider of outsourced field and professional services for utility and industrial customers, in March 2021. Ridgemont's investment will support the build-out of a scaled, end-to-end utility services platform and Sparus has since acquired OneVision Utility Services to expand its utility locate and damage prevention capabilities.

Amplifi Acquires Snow Fox Data

Amplifi, a Dallas-based data and AI consultancy, has acquired Wisconsin-based Snow Fox Data to strengthen its analytics, data engineering, and AI capabilities. Snow Fox Data's team and partnerships with platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks and Dataiku will be integrated into Amplifi to accelerate client digital transformation and expand end-to-end data and AI services; Snow Fox co-founder Ryan Moore will join Amplifi as Senior Vice President, AI and Analytics.
