New Residential Investment Corp. completed its acquisition of Genesis Capital LLC, a Sherman Oaks-based business-purpose lender, from affiliates of Goldman Sachs. The deal, financed with New Residential cash and committed asset-based financing from Goldman Sachs, adds loan origination capability to New Residential's single-family rental platform; Genesis originated roughly $2 billion of loans in 2021 and has about 170 employees.

The acquisition adds CEP's temporary power distribution and portable lighting product lines, a 48,000 sq ft facility and 47 employees to Southwire's Tools, Components and Assembled Solutions portfolio to expand its lighting and electrical safety offerings.
