Beringer Capital has completed its inaugural Fund V investment by taking a strategic stake in Northern Commerce, a London, Ontario-based digital transformation consultancy. The partnership will support Northern's capability expansion, geographic growth across North America, and a continued add-on acquisition strategy; terms were not disclosed and Canaccord Genuity advised Northern.

Northern Commerce has acquired Digital Echidna, combining two North American digital agencies to create one of Canada’s largest eCommerce and digital experience firms. The merged organization will combine complementary capabilities across eCommerce, digital experience design and enterprise content management, employ over 150 experts collectively, and leverage partnerships with Adobe, Salesforce, Acquia, Facebook, Google and Shopify to expand client offerings across retail, healthcare and education.

Freedom CNG Acquires X3 CNG and Lancer Energy

Houston-based Freedom CNG has acquired Colorado operator X3 CNG and Utah-based Lancer Energy to expand its compressed renewable natural gas (C/RNG) and multi-fuel fueling footprint across the Western United States. The deals add X3 CNG's public-access CNG network (including major sites in Colorado Springs and Greeley) and Lancer Energy's expertise in building and maintaining CNG, RNG, EV and hydrogen fueling infrastructure.
