Givex Acquires Kalex Equipment Services

Givex (TSX: GIVX) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire all shares of Kalex Equipment Services, a Toronto-based IT service and consulting firm that specializes in retail and hospitality point-of-sale installation, repair and field services. The deal, which is expected to close the week of Jan. 24, 2022, will expand Givex’s installation and service capabilities across Canada and create cross-sell opportunities for its omnichannel POS and payments platform.

Givex Acquires Loyalty Lane, Inc.

Givex Information Technology Group Limited has completed the acquisition of Loyalty Lane, Inc., including its subsidiaries Electronic Scrip Incorporated and Media Solutions Company. The deal adds roughly 2,000 merchant clients and about 11 million registered consumers, brings annualized revenue of ~US$4.5M, and expands Givex's platform and CRM/loyalty capabilities into the grocery, convenience store and fuel verticals in the United States.

The deal aims to unify treasury, reconciliation, and compliance reporting—helping customers automate reconciliations across payment gateways, banks, ERPs and accelerate multi-jurisdictional reporting; financial terms were not disclosed.

SilverEdge Government Solutions Acquires Counter Threat Solutions

SilverEdge Government Solutions, a Godspeed Capital-backed platform, has partnered with/acquired Counter Threat Solutions (CTS), bringing CTS’ all-source and counterintelligence analysis, identity intelligence, enterprise IT, and software development capabilities into the SilverEdge platform. The deal adds more than 100 cleared technical and mission support staff to SilverEdge’s team (bringing the platform's cleared workforce to ~450) and strengthens its mission-focused offerings to the U.S. Intelligence Community and select Department of Defense customers.
