Meridian Waste Acquires Shotwell Companies (landfill, transfer stations, hauling assets)

Meridian Waste has closed the acquisition of the equity interests in the Shotwell Companies — including Shotwell Landfill Inc., several transfer station entities and associated hauling and commercial contracts — expanding Meridian’s operations into the greater Raleigh, North Carolina market. The deal, terms private, marks Meridian Waste’s first acquisition in North Carolina and its 11th since going private under Warren Equity Partners.

Meridian Waste Acquires Total Garbage LLC

Meridian Waste acquired Knoxville-based Total Garbage LLC effective Aug. 1, purchasing roll-off trucks, containers and related commercial permanent and temporary contracts. The deal densifies Meridian Waste’s Knoxville-area collection routes and increases construction & demolition (C&D) debris volumes for its Poplar View and Riverside landfills as a tuck-in add-on to its Tennessee operations.

Waste Eliminator Acquires Oconee Resources LLC

Waste Eliminator, a metro-Atlanta sustainable waste management platform backed by Allied Industrial Partners, has acquired Oconee Resources LLC, an MSW and C&D transfer station in upstate South Carolina. The add-on expands Waste Eliminator's geographic footprint into South Carolina and adds vertical integration to support its growing MSW collection and hauling operations.

Meridian Waste Acquires Evergreen Environmental Partners Holdings LLC and ADSI Holdings LLC

Meridian Waste Acquisitions, LLC has acquired the stock of Evergreen Environmental Partners Holdings LLC (EEP) and ADSI Holdings LLC from BTG Pactual Strategic Capital, expanding Meridian Waste’s Southeast footprint. The deal adds the Noble Hill municipal solid waste landfill, an EEP transfer station, more than 50 municipal contracts and additional hauling, administrative and maintenance facilities servicing customers across Alabama and Mississippi; Meridian Waste will integrate the assets with support from its private equity partner Warren Equity Partners.

NW Natural Water Acquires Far West's Foothills Water and Wastewater Utilities

NW Natural Water Company, a subsidiary of Northwest Natural Holding Company, has completed the acquisition of the water and wastewater utilities of Far West Water & Sewer, Inc., serving the Foothills area of Yuma, Arizona. The acquired utilities (doing business as Foothills Utilities) serve roughly 25,000 connections and employ about 40 people; the deal expands NW Natural Water's operations into Arizona.

Allied Industrial Partners‑Backed Waste Eliminator Acquires North Georgia Roll Off

Waste Eliminator LLC, a Metro‑Atlanta waste and recycling services platform backed by Allied Industrial Partners, has acquired North Georgia Roll Off to expand waste handling assets and recycling capabilities in the Northeast Atlanta market. The acquisition—Waste Eliminator’s fourth since Allied’s investment in November 2021—will concentrate assets near existing infrastructure to increase margins and grow the customer base.
