Basalt Infrastructure Partners Acquires Fatbeam from SDC Capital Partners

Funds advised by Basalt Infrastructure Partners have closed the acquisition of Fatbeam Holdings, LLC from a fund managed by SDC Capital Partners and other investors. Fatbeam is a fiber broadband provider operating ~1,250 route miles across the western United States; Basalt said it will partner with management to continue the company’s growth and expand connectivity to education, commercial, carrier, and government customers.

Columbia Capital will remain the majority shareholder following the transaction. Bandwidth IG, founded in 2019 and headquartered in San Jose, California, supplies underground dark fiber connectivity to data centers, hyperscalers and enterprises.
