SeQent Acquires Open Automation Software to Expand Edge-to-Cloud Industrial Data Connectivity

SeQent, a provider of industrial alarm notification and plant-floor communication software, announced it has acquired Open Automation Software (OAS). The acquisition extends SeQent’s platform upstream by adding controller-to-database-to-cloud data connectivity, universal data drivers, buffering, and high-speed logging in open formats. SeQent positions the combined offering as closing the “gap” between detection and escalation—delivering an end-to-end, auditable signal-to-action workflow for manufacturers.
