Goldman Sachs Alternatives Takes Majority Stake in Crystal Group

The Private Equity business at Goldman Sachs Alternatives has agreed to become the majority shareholder in French wealth manager Crystal, alongside Crystal's management team led by Bruno Narchal and Jean-Maximilien Vancayezeele; Seven2 will remain a c.25% shareholder. Crystal, founded in 1992, manages around €22 billion AUM (pro forma for recent acquisitions) and said the investment will support growth in France and internationally, including significant investments in digital and AI. The transaction is subject to regulatory and antitrust approvals.

SHS Capital and ING Corporate Investments Acquire Majority Stake in CAM Bioceramics

German healthcare specialist investor SHS Capital, together with ING Corporate Investments and several co-investors, acquired a majority stake in CAM Bioceramics B.V., a Leiden-based contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) for orthobiologic calcium phosphate solutions. Existing owners rolled over a significant stake and management remains in place; the transaction aims to strengthen the business and accelerate investment in people, capabilities and customer partnerships to drive growth.

SHS Capital Invests €18M in MESI Medical

Tübingen-based healthcare investor SHS (SHS Gesellschaft für Beteiligungsmanagement mbH) has invested €18 million in MESI, a Slovenian medtech company that develops the MESI mTABLET digital diagnostic platform. The growth capital will be used to expand MESI’s sales organization and product portfolio — including AI-powered predictive applications — to accelerate adoption across primary care, assisted care and other healthcare settings.

CryLaS, a Berlin-based manufacturer of deep‑UV pulsed and CW laser systems serving the semiconductor, biotech and healthcare markets with around 50 employees, will work with SIP to expand product development, production capacity and market reach.

The investment will support product development, manufacturing scale-up and regulatory activities as Blue Ocean Spine advances next-generation expandable and anchor-equipped cage implants and targets future U.S. FDA approval.
