The transaction, advised by Generational Capital Markets, closed May 15, 2023 and is intended to expand Field Industries' product breadth, service capabilities and scale in petrochemical, oilfield and industrial markets.

CD&R Acquires Significant Stake in Foundation Building Materials

Funds managed by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) have acquired a significant ownership position in Foundation Building Materials, Inc. (FBM) from affiliates of American Securities, with American Securities retaining a majority stake. FBM, a leading North American distributor of specialty building products headquartered in Santa Ana, California, operates 300+ branches and employs more than 5,600 people; the investment will support the company’s continued growth, product/service expansion and digital initiatives.

SNF Acquires PfP Industries and Ace Fluid Solutions

SNF, the global specialty chemicals group, has signed agreements to acquire PfP Industries and Ace Fluid Solutions to strengthen its oil and gas product and service offering. The transactions expand SNF’s friction reducer and fluid management capabilities—including dry, slurry and emulsion friction reducers—and enhance its presence serving upstream oil & gas customers, particularly in the Permian Basin.

CD&R to Acquire Majority Stake in Roper Technologies' Industrial Businesses

Roper Technologies agreed to sell a majority stake in its industrial businesses (its entire Process Technologies segment and the industrial businesses within Measurement & Analytical Solutions) to affiliates of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) for approximately $2.6 billion in upfront pre-tax cash while retaining a 49% minority interest. The package—which includes Alpha, AMOT, CCC, Cornell, Dynisco, FTI, Hansen, Hardy, Logitech, Metrix, PAC, Roper Pump, Struers, Technolog, Uson and Viatran—generated about $940 million of revenue and $260 million of EBITDA in 2021; CD&R will operate the businesses as a standalone platform to pursue organic and inorganic growth.

UES Acquires Riner Engineering

SUEZ Acquires F&R Cawley Ltd

SUEZ recycling and recovery UK has acquired independent regional recycling and waste management company F&R Cawley Ltd (Cawleys), expanding its footprint north of London and adding lithium‑ion battery processing capabilities. The acquisition includes Cawleys’ depots, materials recycling facility, transfer stations and battery processing facility, and brings more than 200 employees and ~£36.8m in turnover into SUEZ’s UK operations.
