SUEZ recycling and recovery UK has acquired DCW (Devon Contract Waste), a regional recycling and waste management company serving Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. The deal brings DCW's 86 staff, 37-truck fleet, three depots and an Exeter transfer/sorting operation into SUEZ's UK operations, expanding the group's collection and recycling capabilities in the south west of England.

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) completed the acquisition of Wolseley UK from Ferguson plc in a carve-out divestiture valued at £308 million. Wolseley — a leading UK distributor of plumbing, heating, climate control, pipe and infrastructure products with ~542 branches, ~5,000 employees and ~£1.5 billion revenue in FY2020 — will be owned by CD&R funds alongside Wolseley management and run as an independent company to accelerate growth and pursue operational improvements.

Candler Industries Acquires R&F Industries

Candler Industries, Inc. acquired R&F Industries, Inc., a Luling, Texas-based developer and manufacturer of specialty oilfield and mining chemicals. The deal, advised by Generational Equity, closed on December 7, 2023 and brings R&F's clay control blends, lubricants, scale inhibitors and other additives into Candler's portfolio to expand its specialty-chemicals capabilities for drilling and mining markets.

Forest Lane Capital-backed ARS Systems Acquires ARS Recycling

Forest Lane Capital Partners has formed ARS Systems and completed the acquisition of ARS Recycling, a Lowellville, Ohio-based manufacturer of steel grit recycling and dust collection equipment. Daniel Moore was appointed CEO and the new ownership said it will invest to expand parts & service offerings, rental equipment and related products while continuing operations at the Lowellville facility.

TerraCycle US Acquires Complete Recycling Solutions

Trenton, New Jersey–based TerraCycle US has acquired Complete Recycling Solutions (CRS), a 21-year-old e-scrap and universal-waste processor based in Fall River, Massachusetts. The purchase adds CRS’s lamp recycling and mercury-distillation capabilities to TerraCycle’s Regulated Waste division and will keep CRS led by its former owner and co‑founder, Keith Boyea.
