Yamaha Motor Corporation Acquires Siren Marine

Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., through its subsidiary Yamaha Marine Systems Company, Inc., acquired Siren Marine, a Newport, Rhode Island–based maker of marine IoT hardware and connected-boat software. The acquisition (terms undisclosed) follows Yamaha's earlier minority investment and is intended to integrate Siren's connected-boat capabilities into Yamaha's product roadmap to deliver more integrated, connected marine products.

Yamaha Motor Acquires Torqeedo from DEUTZ

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has completed the acquisition of Torqeedo, the German maker of electric outboard and inboard boat motors, from DEUTZ AG as part of DEUTZ's portfolio realignment. The deal, reported to generate proceeds in the high double-digit millions of euros for DEUTZ, positions Torqeedo to grow under Yamaha's industrial base and strengthens Yamaha's electric marine propulsion capabilities.

Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. formed Yamaha Marine Systems Company (YMSC) and YMSC acquired the assets of Kracor, Inc., a Milwaukee-based rotational molding manufacturer. The acquisition expands Yamaha Marine's integrated marine systems capabilities by adding in-house rotational molded parts and integrated fuel tank systems for boat builders and Yamaha's internal business units.

Yamaha Motor Acquires Brose's e-Kit Bicycle Drive Unit Business Subsidiary

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has signed an agreement to acquire Brose's bicycle drive unit (e-Kit) business subsidiary, with completion subject to regulatory clearances and expected by June 2025. Yamaha will operate the acquired business through a newly established German entity, Yamaha Motor eBike Systems (YMESG), to build a European development base, expand market presence and strengthen after-sales service using Brose's network.

MarineMax Acquires Williams Tenders USA

Trelleborg Acquires Maritime International, Inc.

Trelleborg AB, through its Offshore & Construction business area, has agreed to acquire Maritime International, Inc., a privately owned U.S. marine fender systems designer and manufacturer based in Broussard, Louisiana. The bolt-on deal expands Trelleborg's production and engineering footprint in North America and strengthens its berthing, docking and mooring offering; the acquired business has annual sales of approximately SEK 200 million and the transaction was expected to close in Q4 2015.
