Siemens AG has completed the acquisition of Altair Engineering Inc. for an enterprise value of approximately USD 10 billion. The deal adds Altair's capabilities in mechanical and electromagnetic simulation, high-performance computing (HPC), data science and AI to Siemens' Xcelerator platform, strengthening Siemens' industrial software and digital twin offerings.

Altair Acquires Research in Flight (FlightStream)

Altair has acquired Research in Flight, the developer of FlightStream — a fast, low-footprint computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solver used heavily in aerospace and defense and increasingly in marine, energy, turbomachinery, and automotive markets. The technology will be integrated into Altair’s HyperWorks platform and made available via Altair Units to expand Altair’s aerodynamic simulation capabilities for customers including aerospace, defense, and advanced mobility sectors.

Altair Acquires OmniQuest

Altair (Nasdaq: ALTR) acquired OmniQuest, a Novi, Michigan-based developer of Genesis, an advanced structural optimization and finite-element analysis software. The deal adds OmniQuest's optimization algorithms and expertise—used across automotive, motorsport (Formula 1) and aerospace applications—to Altair's simulation and AI product portfolio to strengthen its optimization capabilities.

Adobe Acquires Frame.io

Adobe has completed the acquisition of Frame.io, a cloud-native video review and collaboration platform with over one million users. Frame.io will be integrated into Adobe Creative Cloud (including Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop) to expand Adobe's video collaboration and cloud-native workflow capabilities; Frame.io co-founder and CEO Emery Wells will continue to lead the team reporting to Scott Belsky.

Rocscience Acquires Italian Structural Engineering Software Provider 2SI

Builders FirstSource Acquires California TrusFrame

Builders FirstSource, Inc. has acquired California TrusFrame, LLC from TriWest Capital Partners for an enterprise value of US$179.5 million. California TrusFrame, a manufacturer of prefabricated roof trusses, floor trusses and wall panels based in Murrieta, California with four manufacturing facilities, will integrate into Builders FirstSource and its leadership (including CEO Shawn Overholtzer) will join the company.
