Walbar Acquires Chromalloy's Guaymas Manufacturing Facility

Walbar Engine Components, a portfolio company of Cornerstone Capital Holdings, has acquired Chromalloy’s 35,000-sf manufacturing facility in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico from Chromalloy (a division of Sequa Corporation). The acquisition expands Walbar's manufacturing capacity and engine platform content, supporting additional Airbus, Boeing and Siemens engine programs and increasing support for rising engine build rates.

Arlington Capital Partners formed a new platform, Kinetic Engine Systems, by combining the engine assets of its portfolio company Cadence Aerospace with the newly completed acquisitions of Walbar Engine Components, Numet Machining Techniques and AeroCision. The platform will manufacture precision aero-engine components across six centers of excellence located in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Arizona and Mexico to serve OEMs and aftermarket customers in commercial and defense aerospace.

Main Street Capital Corporation provided a $40.0 million first-lien senior secured term debt investment and a revolving line of credit to support the transaction and the formation of a new parent, Gulf Manufacturing Holdings, LLC.
