Landmark Aquatic, a national commercial pool services platform backed by Bow River Capital, has acquired Indiana-based Spear Corporation to expand its Midwest footprint and strengthen renovation, design, construction, and maintenance capabilities. The deal adds Spear's technical expertise and customer relationships (education, municipal and private club developers) to Landmark's platform, which is supported by Bow River Capital.

Cerberus Capital Management Acquires Landmark Structures from Graycliff Partners

Cerberus Capital Management has acquired Landmark Structures, a North American designer, manufacturer and installer of elevated water and industrial storage tanks, from Graycliff Partners. Landmark, headquartered in Texas, will continue to be led by CEO Chris Lamon (who and the management team retain a minority stake) and will receive Cerberus' support to expand capabilities, services and geographic reach.

Commercial Energy Specialists Holdings LLC (dba Aquafinity), a Turning Basin Capital and Vigeo Investments-backed platform, has acquired Aquatic Environmental Systems, Inc. (AES), a Tempe, Arizona-based provider of full-service water treatment solutions for commercial and institutional swimming pools in Arizona, New Mexico and west Texas. The add-on deal, which closed June 30, 2023, expands Aquafinity’s geographic presence in the Southwest; terms were not disclosed.

Horizon Commercial Pools, a portfolio company of permanent-capital investor Northrim Horizon L.P., has acquired Valley Aquatic Solutions, a Wisconsin-based provider of commercial pool chemicals, equipment, service, water-quality management, renovation and finishing. The deal is an add-on to Horizon's existing platform to deepen its Midwest footprint and continues the owners' transition of the business from founders Ken and Karen Walther to Horizon.
