DartPoints Acquires Metro Data Centers

DartPoints, a Dallas-based owner and operator of edge colocation data centers, has acquired Metro Data Centers (MDC), a carrier-neutral data center provider in Dublin, Ohio. The acquisition expands DartPoints' regional footprint and adds over 22,000 square feet of colocation and carrier-neutral interconnection capacity to support cloud and content service providers in Central Ohio.

DartPoints Acquires Immedion

DartPoints has signed definitive agreements to acquire Immedion, a Greenville, South Carolina-based provider of colocation, cloud and managed services operating eight data centers across seven markets. The acquisition—backed by Astra Capital Management and expected to close in Q2 2021—more than doubles DartPoints' edge colocation footprint and expands its interconnection capabilities into additional tier‑2 and tier‑3 U.S. markets.

NOVA Infrastructure Majority Investment in DartPoints

NOVA Infrastructure has completed a majority investment in DartPoints, providing a significant growth capital commitment to scale the company's data center platform and pursue capacity expansion and strategic M&A. Orion Infrastructure Capital joined as a lender and minority equity investor, while existing sponsor Astra Capital Management retains a meaningful minority stake; NOVA and OIC committed more than $250 million of capital and DartPoints acquired the underlying real estate for three of its facilities.

Wind Point / Velocity Rail Solutions Acquires Liquid Tech Solutions

Wind Point Partners has combined Liquid Tech Solutions (LTS) with its portfolio company Velocity Rail Solutions, creating the largest route-based, mobile on-site refueling platform in North America. Yukon Partners provided junior capital to support the merger; Lindsay Goldberg sold LTS to the combined Wind Point/Velocity platform. The combined business will scale services across rail and other mission-critical end markets and pursue further organic growth and add-on acquisitions.

Arlington Capital Partners Acquires Avenu Insights & Analytics from Mill Point Capital

Arlington Capital Partners has acquired Avenu Insights & Analytics, a provider of revenue enhancement, payment and administrative software and services for state and local governments, from Mill Point Capital. The company, headquartered in Centreville, Virginia, employs over 600 people and will continue to be led by CEO Paul Colangelo as Arlington looks to invest in product expansion and inorganic growth.
