EQT AB has acquired LSP (Life Sciences Partners), a leading European life-sciences venture capital firm, in a transaction that creates a new EQT Life Sciences business line. The deal values the upfront consideration at EUR 450 million (25% cash / 75% EQT shares) with a EUR 25 million earn‑out paid on meeting fundraising targets (total consideration EUR 475 million at close); LSP's 34-person team and partners join EQT to strengthen its healthcare investing capabilities.

Shionogi Inc. Acquires Qpex Biopharma, Inc.

Shionogi Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Shionogi & Co., Ltd., entered into a definitive agreement to acquire San Diego-based clinical-stage antimicrobial developer Qpex Biopharma, Inc. The acquisition (upfront $100 million plus up to $40 million in milestones) brings Qpex's investigational beta-lactamase inhibitor xeruborbactam and expands Shionogi's infectious disease R&D capabilities and pipeline.

Applus+ Acquires QPS Evaluation Services Inc.

Clarivate Plc Acquires Global QMS, Inc. (Global Q)

Clarivate Plc has acquired Global QMS, Inc. (Global Q), a provider of cloud-based regulatory reporting and compliance SaaS for life sciences companies. The acquisition expands Clarivate's life sciences and healthcare capabilities by adding Global Q's Optiqs360 Digital platform and regulatory report authoring tools to Clarivate's data and workflow offerings; financial terms were not disclosed.

Catabasis Pharmaceuticals Acquires Quellis Biosciences Inc.

Catabasis Pharmaceuticals has acquired Quellis Biosciences in a stock-for-stock merger to obtain Quellis' lead preclinical monoclonal antibody program QLS-215 for hereditary angioedema. Concurrent with the acquisition, Catabasis completed a private placement (PIPE) led by Perceptive Advisors and other institutional investors to raise approximately $110 million to fund IND-enabling studies and early clinical trials of QLS-215.
