Canstar Restorations LP has acquired ABK Restoration Services Ltd. and NorHaz Solutions Inc., expanding its platform with four new branches in Kamloops, Kelowna, Penticton and Summerland, British Columbia. The acquisitions add property restoration and hazardous materials remediation capabilities to Canstar's footprint in Interior British Columbia and strengthen its service offering to residential, commercial and insurance clients.

CAI Capital Partners has made a platform investment in LineStar Utility Supply Inc., a Canadian distributor of powerline technician tools and safety equipment with distribution centers across British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. Management (including Brian L'Heureux, Greg Payne and Brian Colledge) retained a meaningful equity stake and co-founders remain involved; CAI's investment is the sixth platform from CAI Capital Partners VI and was financed with debt from Scotiabank.

Eagle Creek Renewable Energy Acquires Lightstar Renewables

An affiliate of Eagle Creek Renewable Energy has acquired Lightstar Renewables, a community solar developer and owner/operator with ~30 MW under construction and a ~1.2 GW U.S. development pipeline. Lightstar was a portfolio company of funds managed by Elda River Capital Management LLC and Magnetar; under Eagle Creek ownership its full development pipeline and assets will be transitioned to Eagle Creek to accelerate its community solar IPP strategy.

Morgan Stanley Capital Partners Acquires American Restoration from Soundcore Capital Partners

Investment funds managed by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners have acquired American Restoration Operations LLC, a Dallas-headquartered provider of water, fire, mold and property restoration services. Soundcore Capital Partners sold the platform after a five-year hold during which it completed multiple add-on acquisitions; CEO Dan Tarantin will continue to lead the business as MSCP looks to accelerate growth across the company's eight regional brands and 10-state footprint.

Fire Safety & Protection (Sunny River) Acquires All-Star Fire, LLC

Fire Safety & Protection, a portfolio company of Sunny River Management, has acquired All-Star Fire, LLC, a tenured fire and life safety services provider in the greater Atlanta market. The deal is an add-on to FSP's platform as it expands its Southeastern U.S. footprint and capabilities while All-Star's president, Kevin Biando, will remain to manage local operations.
