Pexco LLC, a North American specialty plastics extruder (PE-backed by AEA Investors), has acquired Altaflo, LLC, a Sparta, New Jersey-based producer of high-performance fluoropolymer and fluoroplastic tubing and pipe extrusions. The acquisition expands Pexco's fluoropolymer capabilities and product offerings and will operate as an add-on to Pexco's platform to broaden solutions for aerospace, pharmaceutical, chemical, energy and electronics customers.

The deal expands Pexco's capabilities in fluoropolymers and other high-performance materials and adds engineering and tight-tolerance molding expertise for aerospace, defense, medical and precision industrial end markets.

The deal — announced December 1, 2021 — expands Pexco's silicone and TPE capabilities and broadens its end-market exposure in mobility, RV, marine and heavy equipment aftermarket segments; PEC owners Art Bowen and Dave Spears sold the business.
