Deltech Holdings Acquires StanChem

Deltech Holdings, a portfolio company of SK Capital Partners, has acquired StanChem, Inc., a maker of emulsion polymers and protective coatings. The acquisition makes StanChem a division of the Deltech platform and is intended to expand Deltech's capabilities across the CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers) value chain; terms were not disclosed. StanChem was previously a portfolio company of Artemis Capital Partners.

Altas Partners Acquires DuBois Chemicals from The Jordan Company

Altas Partners has signed and completed a definitive agreement to acquire DuBois Chemicals, a Cincinnati-based specialty chemical manufacturer and solutions provider, from The Jordan Company. Altas said it will support DuBois' next phase of growth through organic initiatives and selective acquisitions; financial terms were not disclosed.

Valentus Specialty Chemicals Acquires Absolute Coatings Inc. from Paint-Over-Rust Products

Valentus Specialty Chemicals Inc., a holding company owned by Huron Capital, completed its acquisition of Absolute Coatings Inc., the wood floor finishes business of Paint-Over-Rust Products. The deal adds the ABSCO, Last-n-Last and TREK-Plus brands to the Valentus platform and expands the group's distribution footprint in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic; David Sherman, CEO of Paint-Over-Rust, will join Valentus' board.

Axalta Coating Systems Acquires U-POL from Graphite Capital

Polyventive Acquires Tri‑Tex Surfactants and Dyes & Pigments Businesses

The transaction expands Polyventive's specialty chemicals portfolio and adds manufacturing capabilities in Canada and the United States.

Archroma (SK Capital Portfolio) Acquires Huntsman Textile Effects Business

Archroma, a Pratteln, Switzerland-based specialty chemicals company and portfolio company of SK Capital Partners, entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Textile Effects business from Huntsman Corporation. The deal combines Archroma's and Huntsman Textile Effects' technologies and product portfolios to create a larger sustainable textile-chemicals platform; closing was expected in H1 2023 and the transaction was presented as a strategic add-on to Archroma's platform.
