Caymus Equity Partners has acquired Valley Lighting, a Linthicum Heights, Maryland-based commercial lighting and shading solutions provider, with CEO Kathy Deppe and EVP Tommy Jones retaining meaningful ownership and remaining in leadership. The May 1, 2025 transaction was supported by SI Private Capital, LongWater Capital Solutions, Midwest Mezzanine Funds and Enterprise Bank; Caymus plans to help Valley expand its geographic footprint and grow its service offerings into key end markets such as data centers, government, and healthcare.

Fidelity Building Services Group has acquired Chesapeake Mission Critical, a Beltsville, Maryland–based provider of mission-critical power and precision cooling systems. Chesapeake Corporate Advisors served as exclusive financial advisor to Chesapeake Mission Critical; the CMC management team will continue to run the business as an operating division of Fidelity BSG, with Mark Ryan serving as President of CMC and Partner in Fidelity BSG.

ArchKey Solutions has acquired Total Electric, LLC, a Maryland-based electrical service and maintenance provider, to expand ArchKey/Mona's regional facilities services footprint on the U.S. East Coast. Total Electric will join the ArchKey/Mona segment to broaden service capabilities and geographic reach for customers across diverse end markets.

Sciens Building Solutions, a Carlyle-backed holding company focused on fire detection and security services, has acquired Maryland-based LS Systems. The add-on expands Sciens' footprint into the greater Baltimore / Mid-Atlantic region and enhances its capabilities in fire protection, electronic security, and emergency communications with a team of over 90 professionals.

Cross-Fire & Security Co., a life-safety platform backed by AE Industrial Partners, has acquired Adcock's Systems LLC, a Waldorf, Maryland-based fire alarm, electrical and sprinkler contractor. The add-on expands Cross-Fire's geographic footprint into the Washington, D.C. market and adds sprinkler capabilities; terms were not disclosed and Adcock's existing management will remain in place.

Therma Holdings LLC, a portfolio company of Gemspring Capital, has acquired VarcoMac LLC, an Odenton, Maryland-based provider of electrical systems and maintenance services for data centers, healthcare and government customers. The acquisition expands Therma's mission-critical electrical service capabilities and geographic reach in the Baltimore–Washington metro area; VarcoMac will continue to operate as a subsidiary led by President Shane Wilemon.

Red Hawk Fire & Security has acquired Tele-Tector of Maryland, a Columbia, MD-based integrated security systems provider, to expand Red Hawk's presence in the Mid-Atlantic and bolster its security systems integration capabilities. Chesapeake Corporate Advisors served as exclusive financial advisor to Tele-Tector; the sellers were the company's multiple shareholders.
