Energy Acquisitions in Vermont

Dispatch Energy LLC acquired 100% of Green Lantern Solar’s operations, including 64 solar and battery projects totaling 208.9 MWdc and an O&M services business. The deal expands Dispatch’s distributed generation footprint across nine U.S. states and brings its total portfolio to approximately 489.5 MW.

Sensata Technologies agreed to acquire Dynapower Company, LLC from private equity firm Pfingsten Partners for $580 million in cash. The acquisition adds Dynapower's energy storage and power conversion manufacturing capabilities to Sensata's Electrification / Clean Energy solutions, supporting Sensata's goal to grow its electrification revenue.

KORE Power has acquired Northern Reliability (NRI) and launched KORE Solutions, a new division that combines KORE's battery cell manufacturing with NRI's nearly 50 years of energy-storage engineering and project development experience. The deal creates a vertically integrated U.S. energy storage integrator, will add 25 positions in Waterbury, Vermont, and makes NRI's president Jay Bellows President of KORE Power; terms were not disclosed.

EnergyHub has acquired Packetized Energy to integrate Packetized's Nimble platform and advanced load-shaping/grid management capabilities into EnergyHub's Mercury DERMS. The acquisition expands EnergyHub's DER control, managed charging, and multi-DER optimization capabilities and brings Packetized's engineering team into EnergyHub's Burlington, Vermont offices.

NV5 Global, Inc. announced it will acquire Optimal Energy, Inc., an energy-efficiency consulting firm with offices in Vermont and Rhode Island, in a cash-and-stock transaction expected to close before December 31, 2021. The deal expands NV5’s energy efficiency and clean energy consulting capabilities for utilities, state agencies, and regulatory bodies and is expected to be immediately accretive to NV5’s earnings.

Energy New England LLC (ENE) has acquired Utility Services Inc. (USI), a Waterbury, Vermont–based provider of NERC-related regulatory, reliability and security advisory services. USI will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of ENE, expanding ENE's service offering to provide a coordinated suite of compliance, reliability and cybersecurity services for public power utilities and private-sector energy providers.
