Sila Services has acquired NEOH, an Ohio-based home services platform that comprises five operating brands (Simpson Heating & Air; Bonsky Heating & Cooling; Best Heating & Air Solutions; Ultra Clean Duct Cleaning; Coblentz Plumbing Solutions) and Trade Masters Academy. The add-on expands Sila’s Midwest/Ohio footprint and builds out its multi-trade capabilities across HVAC, plumbing and indoor air-quality services; financial terms were not disclosed.

Percheron Capital has launched Solidaire HVAC & Energy Solutions, a national commercial HVAC and energy services platform, through the foundational acquisition of Enervise, a Cincinnati-based commercial HVAC services company. The platform, led by Katrina Liddell and backed by Percheron, will invest in people, technology and infrastructure to accelerate growth and expand Solidaire's national footprint.

HomeServe USA Corp. has acquired The Manchester Group, LLC (dba IGS Home Warranty) from Interstate Gas Supply LLC (IGS Energy). The transaction, which closed July 31, 2025, transfers approximately 113,000 residential repair service plans across multiple U.S. states to HomeServe, which will assume administration of the plans and expand its home repair service offerings.

Champions Group Holdings has acquired McAfee Heating and Air Conditioning, a Dayton-area residential HVAC services provider founded in 1990. The deal expands Champions Group's Midwest footprint while allowing McAfee to retain its brand and access the platform's resources for growth.

Huron Capital’s portfolio company The Exigent Group, together with its operating company Smith-Boughan Mechanical, has acquired Premier Mechanical, a commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical services provider based in Lima, Ohio. The add-on expands Exigent/Smith-Boughan’s footprint in Northwest Ohio and strengthens their technical capabilities for commercial, industrial and complex facility customers.

Sila Services, a home-services platform, has acquired A to Z Dependable Services, a plumbing and HVAC provider based in Niles, Ohio. The acquisition expands Sila’s Midwest footprint and brings A to Z’s residential plumbing, drain cleaning and HVAC capabilities into Sila’s platform of local home-services brands.

Gamut Capital Management, a New York-based private equity firm, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Airtron Heating & Air Conditioning from NRG Energy. The transaction creates a standalone HVAC platform focused on residential new-construction installations and ongoing maintenance, with plans for organic growth and add-on acquisitions to expand geographic presence and service offerings.

Marsden Services, a nationwide facility services organization headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota, has acquired Feldkamp Enterprises, Inc., a Cincinnati-based commercial and industrial HVAC contractor. The acquisition, led by advisor Copper Run, expands Marsden's HVAC capabilities into the greater Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio metro regions.

Trades Holding Co., a CPC-backed franchise operator, acquired the assets of American Eagle Plumbing and Drain Cleaning, LLC (dba Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Greater Cincinnati, Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Dayton, and Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Florence). The add-on expands Trades' footprint across Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana and was completed as part of the founders' succession planning.

Trades Holding Co., LLC (a CPC company) has acquired the assets of TWD Plumbing Inc., which does business as Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Mid-Ohio, in Mansfield, Ohio. The add-on expands Trades' Ohio footprint and connects its Northeast, Northwest and Central service areas to improve service efficiency and technician career development.

Smart Care, a Wind Point Partners portfolio company, has acquired Finley's Facilities Services, a family-owned commercial kitchen equipment repair business based in Mt. Gilead, Ohio. The deal expands Smart Care's Equipment Solutions footprint in Ohio and strengthens its emergency repair, preventative maintenance and installation capabilities across hot- and cold-side kitchen equipment, refrigeration and HVAC.

Valesco Industries, a Dallas-based private equity firm, acquired North American Kitchen Solutions, Inc. (dba Hoodmart), a factory-direct manufacturer of commercial kitchen ventilation and fire suppression systems headquartered in Elyria, Ohio. The transaction represents Weinberg Capital Group's exit after owning Hoodmart since 2016, during which the company nearly tripled sales and was positioned for continued growth under new PE ownership.

McNally Capital completed a platform investment in The Smith & Oby Company, a Midwest-based HVAC, plumbing and mechanical contracting services provider. The family-owned private equity firm said the investment will support Smith & Oby's organic and acquisitive growth, diversify revenue streams, and expand into new markets while preserving the company's legacy.

Caymus Equity Partners’ portfolio company Temp-Con LLC completed a strategic combination with TP Mechanical Contractors, Inc., expanding Temp-Con’s geographic footprint and service capabilities across the Midwest. The deal, which closed January 14, 2022, creates a combined mechanical contracting platform with broader HVACR, plumbing, fire protection and maintenance offerings serving education, healthcare and commercial end markets across six contiguous states.

Zone Climate Services, a Wind Point Partners-backed platform, has acquired Total Line Refrigeration, a family-owned commercial refrigeration and HVAC services provider based in Cleveland, Ohio. The add-on expands Zone’s Midwest footprint into Ohio and broadens its end-market coverage in food service, grocery/retail and commercial kitchen customers.

3Phase Elevator has merged with Gable Elevator, adding the Cleveland/Columbus-based elevator maintenance, repair and modernization business to its platform. The transaction expands 3Phase’s presence into Ohio; terms were not disclosed and the existing Gable leadership team will remain in place while founder Rick Gable retires.

Wrench Group, a national home services platform, has acquired Buckeye Heating & Cooling, a Columbus-area HVAC provider founded in 1948. Buckeye will operate under the Williams Comfort Air service umbrella as part of Wrench's Midwest expansion; financial terms were not disclosed.

Service Champions Group, a PE-backed home services platform, has acquired HELP Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Drains and Electric of Ohio to expand its footprint into the Midwest. HELP, led by Wesley Holm and serving the greater Cincinnati area for more than 80 years, will complement Service Champions' HVAC, plumbing and electrical capabilities as the platform grows nationally.

Reedy Industries, a commercial and industrial HVAC, plumbing and building controls platform, has acquired Standard Plumbing & Heating / Sheet Metal Crafters (SPH/SMC) of Canton, Ohio. The add-on expands Reedy's mechanical installation, sheet metal fabrication, maintenance and service capabilities and increases its geographic footprint and density in the Ohio market; SPH/SMC president Dave Grabowsky will remain in his role.

Climate Pros, a Saw Mill Capital portfolio company, has acquired The Hattenbach Company, a Cleveland-based commercial refrigeration and HVAC services provider. The add-on expands Climate Pros' branch network into northeast Ohio and increases its footprint across the Midwest.

North Branch Capital acquired Blind & Sons, LLC (which combines Blind & Sons and Superior Drainage) and added it to its Heartland Home Services platform. Midwest Mezzanine Funds provided subordinated debt and an equity co-investment to support the transaction. The businesses provide residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical services in northeast Ohio.

CertaSite, a Riverside-backed commercial fire protection and life safety platform headquartered in Indianapolis, has acquired County Fire Protection, a Kent, Ohio-based fire protection and life safety company. The add-on expands CertaSite's footprint in the Midwest and retains County Fire Protection's team while broadening service and market coverage.
