Infrastructure Acquisitions in New Jersey

Platform Partners, LLC has acquired Progressive Pipeline Management (PPM), a trenchless pipeline rehabilitation contractor that specializes in cured-in-place lining for natural gas distribution pipelines. Commonwealth M&A served as exclusive sell-side advisor and the deal provides PPM with financial and strategic backing to support growth and innovation.

NJFX Utility Service LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of NJFX, completed the acquisition of key transatlantic connectivity infrastructure assets (bore pipes and conduits) from SubCom LLC. The assets — located in Manasquan and Avon, New Jersey — provide purpose-built underground access to the NJFX Wall CLS campus and will be maintained to extend subsea cable useful life for decades.

Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners, together with management, has recapitalized Signal Control Products, a Branchburg, New Jersey-based value-added distributor and solutions provider of traffic signal control equipment. Brookside Capital Partners provided subordinated debt and an equity co-investment to facilitate the transaction, which will provide capital and resources to support Signal Control's next phase of growth and capability expansion.

Huron Capital completed the acquisition of TriStruX, a national provider of telecom infrastructure services formed from the 2020 merger of Telcom Engineering Group, Leone Electric Corporation and High Point Utilities. The deal creates a telecom infrastructure services platform to support 5G and fiber deployment nationwide, with TriStruX founders remaining in management and holding minority stakes.

The Vortex Companies, LLC has acquired North American Pipeline Services, LLC (NAP), expanding Vortex’s trenchless infrastructure service capabilities and presence in the Mid-Atlantic. NAP, founded in 1974 and now based in Freehold, New Jersey, employs about 55 people and provides CCTV inspection, pipe bursting, CIPP lining and other sewer and water rehabilitation services.

Greenwich-based Pillsman Partners, alongside RFE Investment Partners and Squan management, recapitalized Squan Construction Services of Englewood, New Jersey to fund continued growth and support the company’s wireless infrastructure services. The transaction closed on October 10, 2014 and was structured as a recapitalization with investor partnership and management participation.
