Emergency Care Holdings (ECH), a platform backed by Bridgefield Capital, completed the acquisition of the Philips Emergency Care business from Koninklijke Philips N.V., which will operate as Heartstream under a Philips brand license. The carve-out, headquartered in Bothell, Washington, employs more than 600 people, serves over 130 countries and positions ECH to launch a global emergency medical products platform focused on consolidation, innovation and recurring software and service revenue.
Merit Medical Systems has executed an asset purchase agreement to acquire the EsophyX Z+ device and related assets from EndoGastric Solutions, Inc. for approximately $105 million in cash. The acquisition expands Merit’s gastrointestinal product portfolio and provides clinicians a minimally invasive treatment option for GERD via the EsophyX TIF 2.0 procedure.
Bruker Corporation has acquired substantially all assets of NanoString Technologies, Inc. through a court-supervised Chapter 11 asset sale for approximately $392.6 million in cash plus assumption of certain liabilities. The deal, announced April 2024 and closed in late April/early May 2024, brings NanoString's spatial biology and gene-expression product lines into Bruker to preserve customer access, product development, and jobs while expanding Bruker's life‑science instrumentation capabilities.
Thermo Fisher Scientific has completed its acquisition of MarqMetrix, a Seattle-based developer of Raman-based in-line spectroscopy and Process Analytical Technology (PAT). The deal adds Raman-based in-line PAT capabilities to Thermo Fisher’s Analytical Instruments segment; terms were not disclosed.
Össur has acquired Naked Prosthetics, a US-based maker of custom finger and partial-hand prostheses, effective August 26, 2022. The purchase expands Össur's upper-limb product offering and strengthens its position in the prosthetics market globally; Naked Prosthetics is based in Olympia, Washington and employs around 70 people.

The add‑on expands Advancing Eyecare’s regional coverage and service capabilities to better serve ophthalmologists and optometrists.
Mi-Med Supply, a Vista, California–based medical supply provider, acquired Peaks & Plains Inc., a Spokane, Washington–based durable medical equipment and supplies retailer. The transaction, announced by advisor Generational Equity, closed April 30, 2015 and is intended to expand Mi-Med Supply’s retail offering and footprint on the West Coast, particularly in the Pacific Northwest.
