Supporting Data
Kargo has acquired VideoByte, a connected TV (CTV) and OTT video advertising platform, to expand its omnichannel advertising capabilities into the CTV market. VideoByte's ad-serving technology and publisher integrations will be integrated into Kargo's platform to deliver new CTV formats and drive deeper cross-screen advertising experiences for brands and publishers.
Mobile ad exchange Kargo has acquired the attention-sales platform Parsec Media, gaining Parsec's attention-measurement tech and a screen-takeover mobile ad format. Kargo will integrate Parsec's technology to offer advertisers a cost-per-second attention currency while Parsec's spun-off measurement business, Adelaide, will retain remaining assets and its workforce.
Kargo acquired Rhombus, an ad platform built around embedded social content, and rebranded the technology as Social Canvas. The Social Canvas product — a cookieless targeting solution that places ads adjacent to social embeds — will be integrated into Kargo's mobile advertising platform to give publishers a premium monetization placement and advertisers contextual targeting capabilities.
