Recapitalizations in 2016

Capstone Partners advised Avomeen Analytical Services on a recapitalization led by High Street Capital; terms were not disclosed. Avomeen, an Ann Arbor-based provider of formulation, product development and analytical/pharmaceutical testing services, will use the partnership and capital to professionalize business development and pursue further growth.

Altaris Capital Partners announced a recapitalization of CSafe Global with an investor group that includes funds managed by Frazier Healthcare Partners; Altaris will retain a minority stake. CSafe Global, headquartered in Monroe, Ohio, is a provider of active and passive cold-chain packaging solutions serving the biopharmaceutical industry and will use the transaction to support continued growth and capability expansion.

Tillery Capital, a family‑office structured private investment firm, completed a recapitalization of Electromedical Products International, Inc. (EPI), the maker of the Alpha‑Stim medical device, with the transaction closing June 30, 2016. EPI, headquartered in Mineral Wells, Texas, manufactures and sells the Alpha‑Stim device worldwide through independent representatives and distributors and markets to the U.S. Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

White Wolf Capital LLC completed a recapitalization of CSI IT, LLC (also referred to as Consulting Solutions International), providing the company with additional capital and resources to support accelerated growth and expanded service offerings. Financial terms were not disclosed; White Wolf will partner with CSI's management team to pursue organic growth and business development initiatives. CSI is an IT consulting, staffing and recruiting firm headquartered in Tallahassee, Florida.

Riomar Capital acquired HousingWire in a recapitalization announced May 4, 2016. The investment positions Riomar to expand HousingWire’s media, audience, data and analytics capabilities across the mortgage and related B2B markets while key founders remain in advisory and leadership roles.

Primus Capital has recapitalized S&W Payroll Services, LLC (dba Netchex Online), a provider of a cloud-based HR and payroll SaaS platform. The investment will support Netchex's product expansion and geographic growth, with Primus joining the company's board to help guide its continued growth.

PineBridge Structured Capital completed a recapitalization of Riveron Consulting, with 7 Mile Advisors serving as financial advisor to Riveron. The structured, non-control investment is intended to accelerate Riveron’s growth and expand its footprint and capabilities serving middle-market companies and private equity clients.
