Aerospace & Defense Acquisitions in New Mexico

Atlantic Aviation has acquired Jet Center at Santa Fe, a full-service FBO at Santa Fe Regional Airport, adding approximately 16.5 acres of ramp space, a modern executive terminal and ~50,000 sq. ft. of heated hangar space to its network. The facility immediately begins operating as Atlantic Aviation and expands the operator's presence in New Mexico as part of its strategy to add high-quality FBO locations.

Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee‑owned prime contractor based in Huntsville, Alabama, has acquired XL Scientific, LLC (dba Verus Research), an Albuquerque‑based R&D contractor specializing in electromagnetic, directed energy and nuclear systems analysis. The acquisition brings Verus Research's technical capabilities into Radiance's portfolio and expands its DoD and intelligence community customer base.

Rocket Lab (Nasdaq: RKLB) has acquired SolAero Holdings, Inc., a leading supplier of space solar cells, solar panels and precision aerospace structures, for $80 million in cash. The acquisition (announced in December 2021 and subsequently closed) adds SolAero’s ~425 employees and the world’s largest production line of high-performance space solar cells to Rocket Lab’s vertically integrated space systems business, expanding its manufacturing capabilities for civil, defense and commercial space customers.

Arlington Capital Partners' portfolio company BlueHalo has acquired Design & Development Engineering Services Corporation (DDES), a space-qualified electronics designer and manufacturer based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The add-on expands BlueHalo's space hardware and manufacturing capabilities, strengthening its ability to deliver radiation-hardened, high-reliability systems for national security and military space missions.

Redwire has acquired LoadPath, a New Mexico–based developer of payload adapters, deployable structures, and thermal products for launch vehicles and satellites; terms were not disclosed. The LoadPath founders will join Redwire as the deal expands Redwire’s space infrastructure and payload accommodation capabilities; the acquisition is an add-on to the PE‑backed Redwire platform formed with support from AE Industrial Partners.

Advanced Grinding Solutions, operating as Abrasive Form and owned by Calvert Street Capital Partners, has acquired Sun Country Industries from McNally Industries. The acquisition expands Abrasive Form’s precision machining and assembly capabilities to better serve aerospace and industrial gas turbine customers.
