Building Products Acquisitions in Kansas

Trulite, a North American architectural glass and aluminum solutions provider backed by Truelink Capital, acquired Insulite Glass, a regional glass fabricator headquartered in Olathe, Kansas, effective January 31, 2025. The add-on purchase expands Trulite's geographic footprint and product offering in the Midwest while providing additional investment to grow Insulite's operations.

GarageCo, a Gridiron Capital-backed national garage door services platform, has acquired Cheney Door Company, a family-run garage door business with five locations across Kansas. The acquisition is GarageCo's sixth add-on and will allow the platform to expand its Midwest footprint while keeping Cheney's operations and team in place.

Chicago-based private equity firm Frontenac has partnered with Integrated Openings Solutions (IOS), a value-added specialty distributor and service provider of commercial door openings and access control solutions headquartered in Olathe, Kansas. The investment will support IOS's geographic expansion and broaden its product and service offerings while founders Joe Lopez and Nick McCarty remain in leadership; TM Capital served as financial advisor to IOS.

Royal Building Products, a subsidiary of Westlake Chemical, has acquired DaVinci Roofscapes, a Lenexa, Kansas-based manufacturer of composite roofing shingles, from TGP Capital Partners. The acquisition adds DaVinci's synthetic roofing portfolio and manufacturing capabilities to Royal Building Products' building-products platform.

Construction Supply Group, a portfolio company of private equity firm The Sterling Group, has acquired Carter-Waters, LLC from Aiglon Capital. Carter-Waters is a leading Midwest distributor of construction materials, tools and rental equipment with 19 locations across multiple states; the deal is a platform add-on to expand Construction Supply Group's geographic footprint and service capabilities.
