Cloud & SaaS Acquisitions in Kansas

International private equity firm Cinven has agreed to acquire Archer, a leading provider of integrated risk management (IRM) cloud software, from Clearlake Capital Group and Symphony Technology Group. The deal — expected to close subject to regulatory approvals — will support Archer's international expansion and product-led growth as a standalone SaaS platform.

Nexa Equity has made a majority growth investment in Storewise, a Kansas-based provider of retail automation software for independent grocers. The investment will fund product development, go-to-market expansion, and strategic acquisitions while Storewise's existing management team remains in place.

Prometheus Group has acquired Atonix Digital and launched Prometheus APM, integrating AtonixOI into its plant maintenance and operations platform to provide predictive and prescriptive asset performance management. AtonixOI—originally built by Black & Veatch and used by hundreds of industrial sites—will be enhanced with native integration to Prometheus' EAM/ERP-connected solutions to improve reliability, safety and operational efficiency.

Flight Schedule Pro, a cloud-based flight school and training management software provider, has acquired Coradine Aviation Systems, the developer of the LogTen electronic pilot logbook. The deal will keep Coradine's team intact and integrate LogTen into Flight Schedule Pro’s platform to expand capabilities for pilots, flight schools and other aviation customers.

HungerRush, a Capstreet-backed cloud POS and restaurant technology provider, acquired Menufy, a Kansas-City-based online ordering and marketplace platform. The deal integrates Menufy’s fast-scaling ordering network (supporting more than 12,000 restaurants) into HungerRush’s cloud POS and broader restaurant technology suite to expand capabilities and accelerate market reach across the U.S.

Mainsail Partners has made a $31 million growth equity investment in Flight Schedule Pro to accelerate the company's product roadmap, expand its team, and scale customer service. Flight Schedule Pro will use the capital to grow its cloud-based flight school and training management SaaS amid rising demand for pilot training.

FileTrail, a provider of information governance and records management software, has acquired Teravine, Inc., an Overland Park, Kansas–based information governance SaaS provider serving large law firms. FileTrail will integrate Teravine's Provident software into its governance suite to create a more complete end-to-end solution and advance future capabilities including AI and NLP; Teravine's former CEO Wes Baldwin will join FileTrail as CTO.

Procore Technologies has acquired LaborChart, a workforce management software provider for specialty contractors and self-performing general contractors, to expand its construction management platform with real-time workforce scheduling, forecasting, and communication tools. LaborChart’s 40+ employees will join Procore and its nearly 300 contractor customers will gain tighter integration with Procore’s Field Productivity and broader project data; financial terms were not disclosed.

RFPIO, a leader in response management software, acquired RFP360 on August 3, 2021 to expand its product portfolio to cover the full RFP lifecycle and strategic sourcing. The transaction was financed with participation from K1 Investment Management, RFPIO’s institutional investor, and is intended to broaden RFPIO’s offering and customer reach across market segments.

Nelnet Business Services, a division of Nelnet, Inc., has acquired Catholic Faith Technologies (CFT), an Overland Park, Kansas–based provider of a cloud-based learning management platform (also operating under the CD2 Learning brand). The acquisition expands Nelnet's church and faith-based technology offerings and brings CFT's SaaS learning platform and services into Nelnet's portfolio; CFT leadership will remain in place.

Bold Penguin has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire RiskGenius, an AI-driven insurance document intelligence SaaS provider. The acquisition adds RiskGenius's data and analytics products and team to Bold Penguin’s commercial insurance SaaS platform to accelerate policy analysis and quoting capabilities.

ShowingTime.com, Inc. acquired Centralized Showing Service, Inc. (CSS) to combine their residential real-estate showing management capabilities and accelerate platform growth. The acquisition was financed with debt from Accel‑KKR Credit Partners and Wells Fargo Capital Finance to support the deal while avoiding equity dilution.

BV Investment Partners has made a minority, growth-oriented investment in CivicPlus to support the company’s next phase of product and market expansion. CivicPlus, a Kansas-based provider of integrated SaaS solutions for local government, will partner with founder Ward Morgan and the existing management team to accelerate growth in the GovTech market.

PrismHR, the Hopkinton, Massachusetts-based HR software platform, acquired AgileHR, a Wichita-based provider of cloud-based talent management and performance management software. The acquisition brings AgileHR's full suite of talent management solutions into the PrismHR platform and Marketplace to strengthen PrismHR's talent management offerings for HRO customers and SMBs; terms were not disclosed.
